GENERAL PRECAUTIONS AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
- Do
not place batteries in close proximity that may cause sparks,
also do not bring fire close to the batteries that could cause
explosion.
- The
battery should be located in the lowest part of the equipment,
set it firmly as possible and mount it in a place where it is
easy to check or replace.
- SLA
batteries are designed for application in any position, but avoid
charging them in an upside-down position. If these batteries are
charged excessively, leakage of electrolyte from safety vents
might occur.
- Avoid
exposing or locating the batteries near a heat generating device.
If close proximity is unavoidable, then ventilation is required.
- Avoid
mixed usage of the batteries differing in capacity, type, manufacturer
or history of use.
- Do
not press, bend or heat the terminals (such as solder).
- Provide
enough insulation of lead wires between the batteries and the
application.
- Do
not charge the batteries in a sealed container.
- Avoid
parallel charge in cyclic operations.
- Do
not continue to charge the batteries over 24 hours in cyclic operation
that may be deteriorated.
|
- Follow
the specified charging method and conditions (such as charging
voltage, current and time). Avoid overcharge or undercharge, that
may shorten battery service life.
- Charge
battery immediately after deep-discharge, and charge them before
use.
- During
trickle or float charge, measure the total voltage of batteries
to make sure the charging systems are in a specified reading range.
- Never
use a cracked, deformed or leaking battery
- Store
the batteries under fully charged state and keep in a dry and
low temperature place. Also recharge them at least every six months
during storage.
- Do
not short-circuit or disassemble the battery.
- Never
dispose the batteries into fire or garbage bin, especially in
countries where there are legal or voluntary regulations on recycling
of batteries.
- The
battery housing is ABS plastic made, clean it with soft cloth
only. Do not use organic solvents or adhesives.
- In
the event if eyes contact with acid (electrolyte), wash eyes with
clean, cold water and consult physician immediately.
